Harry Collings has made a name for himself as one of Boston’s most charitable and respected leaders. After spending more than 30 successful years at Boston City Hall in the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Harry has focused on giving back to the community with his efforts for non-profits including Fenway Community Health Center, PFLAG and AIDS Action Committee. He has always enjoyed the hospitality industry and has dreamt of making the next phase of his career as a restaurant owner. His goal for Back Bay Harry’s is to make it a warm and inviting destination for the community where he can offer delicious food and thoughtful drinks in a beautiful atmosphere.
Taniya Nayak, Owner/Designer
Taniya's approachable take on interior design has won over everyone from rock stars to first- time homebuyers. Her helpful design tips have been featured in Cosmopolitan, Glamour, The Boston Globe, Family Circle, The Washington Post and Ladies Home Journal. She has appeared on The View, The Oprah Winfrey Show, NBC's Today Show and CBS' The Early Show. Jason Santos, Executive Chef
Chef Jason Santos' guests can expect a sensational culinary experience. His ability to create classic dishes with flavorful twists made him the perfect chef to create Back Bay Harry's approachable yet versatile menu. Perhaps that's why he was something of a darling of Gordon Ramsay on the 7th season of "Hell's Kitchen". Santos' cooking style, which combines Asian, French and traditional American flavors with dazzling visual and textural twists, has been called "Julia Child Meets Willy Wonka". While serving as the former executive chef at Gargoyles on the Square, Santos transformed the restaurant from neighborhood stalwart to destination hotspot. Now, Santos is owner and executive chef at Blue Inc. in Boston which is one of the area's hottest dining destinations. He also teaches culinary courses at Boston University and Cambridge Rindge and Latin as well as serves as restaurant chair for "Taste of the Nation," Share Our Strength's benefit to eliminate childhood hunger.
Colleen Hagerty, General Manager
With over 15 of years of experience in the restaurant industry, Colleen has both the knowledge and the gregarious personality necessary to successfully manage a high volume restaurant. Her extensive history includes a strong familiarity with Boston and her focus is to make each guest experience at Back Bay Harry's delightful by providing our guests with excellent food, delicious cocktails and superb hospitality . Colleen holds a BA from Villanova University and specializes in new restaurant openings and operational efficiency. She is a National Restaurant Association Certified ServSafe Instructor and her other certifications include: ServSafe Food, Allergen Awareness and Crowd Management.
Jarek Mountain, Bar Manager
Jarek Mountain’s cocktail creativity has been shaped by over 10 years experience in the industry. With a dynamic resume, Jarek has worked in San Diego’s eclectic Gas Lamp District, as well as been hand-selected for lavish celebrity special events. He has assisted in bar program development for prominent Boston mainstays and is always looking to new and innovative ways to create the newest cocktail. A notable mixologist, Jarek’s drink lists are sure to combine an array of solid selections infused with a good dose of local flavor.
